Ramadan: NGO Mobilizes 100 Christian, Muslim Clerics,Volunteers On Campaign Against Rise Of Foodstuffs

NEWSDAILYNIGERIA -As the Holy month of Ramadan is set to begin,a Team of Nigeria Christian and Muslim clerics have already come out with plans with the sole purpose of visiting all northern Nigeria market unions across the region on the need to Cut-down –prices of food stuff, in order to enabled Muslims kick –start the Holy month without any fear of rising price of foodstuff in the market.

This has become mandatory in view of the rising prices of food commodities in the markets as the Holy month approaches.

According to pastor Yohanna Buru,, the founder of a non-governmental organization (Peace Revival and reconciliation foundation of Nigeria) said, every year before starting the Ramadan , Muslims and Christians clerics do usually met with some of the marketers and discuss on the importance of the holy month while calling on them not to take advantage of the holy month Through doubling the prices of foodstuff or creating artificial scarcity of foodstuff

He said, this year,we have mobilises 100 volunteer- christians-muslims clerics across the north to help us take Cut-down-your-price campaigh to all market unions across the northern part of the country

“its surprising seeing rising of foodstuff amids of corona-virus pendemic,hence the need to appealed to marketers to help and cut down their prices,to enables muslims eat and pray for peace stability of the country,

The essence of the Campaign is to Meet ,Dialogue and Talk with various market unions and other Fruits seller, in other to appealed to them to either cut-down their prices or not to increase fenny from all the goods and services they sales

“Am begging on Nigerian marketers to please cut-down the price of goods and services as the Ramadan is about to kick start”

Stressing that this is the 7th years, his organization has been organizing Christians and muslims scholars who usually visit the markets union and deliberate on ways –not-to-put-much-price on food items during the holy months

Buru say ,this is to enable Muslims buy food stuff and fruits at affordable prices throughout the 30 days for breaking their Fast”

God will surely be angry with any Marketer or seller that Double the prices of his Good just be cause he want to take advantage of the holy season, such marketer will not enter paradise”

Pastor Told marketers to remembered Widows, Physically challenged person , orphans, and internally displaced person IDPs with unemployed person in every things they are doing.

The man of God also said ,that The 100 volunteers Pastors and imans would soon commences visiting markets union and other markets agencies so as to appealed to them in finding means of not increasing food stuff which will affect the every citizens not only muslims but also the Christians and other traditional religious believers, also urging muslims Philanthropist to immensely open Ramadan market,so that the poor muslims can effort going their to buy food stuff at affordable prices.

Buru concluded by saying “During last 5 years Ramadan,” I personally toke a campaign with the Theme”Cut-down-your-prices campaign” to some local markets in Kaduna state and meet the various unions in some local government,

“we have added the number of clerics this year and we are hoping to see that marketers corporate “

The church has plan sharing food stuffs to the poor muslims and IDPs,with people that were sacked in some communities as a result of Bandit attacks
