NEWSDAILYNIGERIA: The founder of a non -governmental organization (Foundation for the protection of women and children) Hajiya Ramatu Tijjani has lamented how various forms of insecurity had crippled humanitarian activities in the Continent of Africa

While calling on African Union AU, European union EU , Islamic Relief worldwide ,and Action Against Hunger organization to rise up and support all African countries toward tackling the activities of insecurity ,conflict and extreme violent affecting peace stability among some African Nations

Adding that, there is an increase demand of humanitarian services to most people living at various camp at internally displaced person  IDPs due to conflict, banditry, ethno-religious attacks, kidnapping ,vengeance attacks,  and that many NGOs/CSO cannot be able to get to them due to critical situation.

Speaking with Journalists, in Kaduna,,  she pointed that, the aim of the day is to inspire and encourage people to be involved with NGOs for the betterment of society, so as to help toward improving lives of people residing in both rural and urbans places across the world.

According to her, Humanitarian 8 women and childrens at various rural places across the 52 African nations

“activities of terrorism,violent extremism,hatred has crippled activities of many NGos toward carriying out humanitarian services to the needy”

 Stressing that ,World NGO Day is an international day dedicated to recognize, celebrate and honour all non-governmental and nonprofit organizations, and the people behind them that contribute to the society all year around.

Back in 2014, the 27th of February became a historic day for the NGO community worldwide. This international calendar day, now known as “world NGO day,” was inaugurated for the first time internationally which make it an annual event where people round the world support for humanitarian services

Adding that,it is also aimed at making  people understand the role of NGO in society, what NGO is doing for our society at a local, national and international level

While appreciating, the services of  Doctors without Borders, international medical Corps ,international committee of the red cross, and Refugees International for the selfless services to humanity across the universe, she urged more volunteers in communities to also form organizations capable of saving lives and helping the needy at any critical time

 Ramatu said, every year on World NGO Day, supporters of various NGOs express their gratitude to individuals in their native languages throughout Asia, North and South America, Africa, and even Australia. 

She noted the need for the African Union to support all humanitarian NGos across the region through tackling all the various crisis affecting peace stability in the region

While calling on Top African celebrites, Musicians, wealthy individuals to equally support all NGOs activities toward helping changing the lives of human beings

However, Ramatu applauded the services of all NGos, CSOs, international Red cross, NEMA, communities and organizations toward their various contributions in saving lives and property

She further hiinted that “World NGO Day is observed in 89 countries across six continents including many African countries”.
