Sen Echocho Sets Out Constituent Programs For Graduates To Reduce Unemployment In Kogi

NEWSDAILYNIGERIA: In order to ameliorate and reduce unemployment in Kogi and Nigeria at large, the Senator representing Kogi East, Sen. Jibrin Isah Echocho has rollout some tangible things he has prepared to do for graduates who have finished their degrees and Higher National Diploma, but are unable to get job, saying that is one of the sure ways of reducing and tackling unemployment in Nigeria.

Outlining his next steps of action to break poverty away from his constituency, Senator Jibrin who is the Chairman Senate Committee on Custom, and a member of Nigerian Army Committee among others, said all is now sets to empower graduated students from higher learning who have passed out but have no meaningful things to do maybe due to lack of funds.

To this group, he said he has planned a massive program for empowerment which will make graduates entrepreneurs by given them a starting funds which will build them to be self reliance.

Senator Echocho who stated this in Abuja revealed that, time has come for everyone in authority to look for a way of reducing mass unemployment bedeviling the country saying, this unemployment has caused a great hardship for the masses as was seen recently from the demonstrations across the country.

He said on his own, he is ready to empowered youths who have passed out as graduates but lack the capacity to carry on with their lives in terms of something that will bring food to their tables.

The gentle and amiable Senator from Kogi east promised to start this entrepreneurship intervention with the sum of one million naira (N1m) each to the first selected applicants saying, that would be his seed capital contribution.

Among the things he also want to do, is his intention to link those beneficiaries of his upcoming scheme to financial institutions who will further boost and support their businesses.

This, he said will do based on applications which will be submitted online in order to discourage fraud as he will do this
without looking at any political affiliation nor who knows who, but on the basis of merit as his aim is to bring succour to his people and better their lives, Senator Jibril Isah Echocho added.
