NEWSDAILYNIGERIA: Carefronting Nigeria, an implementing partner of the SPRiNG Programme, has commenced an intensive training for SPRiNG partners and relevant Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), Community Based Organizations (CBOs), Community Representatives and selected Women and Youths on trauma-informed approaches in Zaria, Kaduna State.
In a statement released on Thursday in Kaduna, the Coordinator of Carefronting Nigeria, Dr. Maji Peterx, reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to fostering resilience and mental well-being in the state
“As experts in trauma counseling and mental health support services, our goal is to equip relevant MDAs, alongside SPRiNG partners, other organizations, and community representatives, with the tools to recognize, understand, and respond to the impact of trauma in the communities they serve.
” Creating a supportive environment requires more than just policy—it requires empathy and understanding. By integrating trauma-informed approaches, we are ensuring that service delivery in Kaduna State is not only effective but also healing-centered.

” The training is supported by the Strengthening Peace and Resilience in Nigeria (SPRiNG) Programme. SPRiNG is an initiative of the United Kingdom Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and is implemented by Tetra Tech International Development, the statement added.
