NEWSDAILYNIGERIA– The Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Most Rev. Matthew Hassan Kukah has reacted to the purported nvitation by the Department of State Services,(DSS)

The DSS is said to have invited Bishop Kukah, over comments on President Buhari in his last Christmas message.

The Elanza News reports that the revered Bishop, while responding to an inquiry about his invitation, simply said “I am talking to you from my village. I am in my village,” Kukah added, apparently not aware of such invitation.

The DSS, it was gathered, has invited Kukah for questioning, days after the renowned Catholic Bishop had criticized President Muhammadu Buhari administration for failing to curb the nationwide insecurity.

Bishop Kukah slammed President Buhari in his Christmas homily saying the Nigerian leader has failed to show competence as terrorists, bandits and other violent criminals embark on a coordinated and relentless rampage across the country.

“We also have lost count of hundreds of individuals and families who have been kidnapped and live below the radar of publicity,”

Kukah said. “Does the President of Nigeria not owe us an explanation and answers as to when the abductions, kidnappings, brutality, senseless, and endless massacres of our citizens will end? We need urgent answers to these questions” he added
