As Christians around the World commence the 40 days Fasting and Prayers starting from (Ash wenesday), Nigerian Muslim clerics and groups have facilitated and urged Christians to offer fervant prayers for World peace, stability and harmony.

Stressing that the World needs serious healing, peace  and God’s intervention

Alaramma Abdulrahman Mohammad Bichi, a Muslim Cleric said, Lenten season is a very Important occasion to all Christians all over the world, adding that ” as we congratulate them in advance ,we are appealing to them to help us and offers a special prayers toward healing the world against the increase crisis, war, banditry, kidnapping ,rising food stuffs

Abdullarahman made the appeal when he led members on a friendship solidarity visit to Pastor Yohanna Buru, General Overseer of Christ Evangelical Intercessory Fellowship Ministry in Kaduna.

According to him, the Lenten period is a very special Holy season to all Christians, and ” we as Muslims, who also fast during Ramadan, understand the significance of fasting and prayers to the Almighty God.

” hence the need for us to strenthen them , we came as a team to felicitate and wish all Christians success from the beginning of the holy month till the end of the lenten season simply because Pastor Yohanna Buru usually visit sheick Dahiru Bauchi, sheick Ibrahim elzazzaky,the Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji sa’ad abubakar and other muslims scholars to break Ramadan fast with them”.he said

He said, this Year’s Lenten season comes amidst rising foodstuffs in the market and increased insecurity and hence the need to appeal to all Christians to help through offering special prayers that can heal the world

He urged them to use the Lenten occasion to pray for peace and stability in the country

He further said, the vi wwwsit was also to encourage peaceful coexistence and religious tolerance and strengthen muslim and christian relationship  .

” We must be our brother keepers through appreciating and encouraging one another irrespective of our religious differences to make the country move ahead”.

He urged Christians to pray for God’s intervention for Nigeria to overcome its security challenges. while calling on marketers to cut down prices of food stuffs to enable christians afford food for breaking of the fast

On his part, Mallam Danladi Musa Kaduna, pointed out that Christian clerics also use to felicitate with Muslims during Ramadan in a show of solidarity and oneness,and that truly promotes peace and unity among muslims and christians

“we must remember that we are created by One God despite our differences in terms of skin ,colors and height, nation and region ”

“we are one family under God” as Adam and Eve were our biological parents , and we all worship one God , and truly  believe in Paradise and Hell, therefore, we all must learn to live in peace and harmony with one another’’

Responding, Pastor yohanna  Buru applauded the effort of his visitors from Kano, Zamfara and katsina, as he said it would boost efforts toward  promoting peace and religious tolerance in the country.

He said,  every Ramadan , the church used to share bags of foodstuffs and grains to hundreds of poor muslims, so as to  strengthen Muslims to fast and pray for God

Adding that, as a Pastor, a peace ambassador and human right activist, religious tolerance would promote peace and unity across the World.

While calling for the creation of Institutes of comparative studies, according to him, it would help toward reducing most of the problems Nigerians are facing most especially ethno-religious and political

“The world truly require special prayers and fasting that can heal it against all the crisis ,war troubling the planet”

Buru ended by appealing to all religious leaders ,muslims and christians to offers special prayers to Nigerian military men and women toward the success of all their peace missions across the universe
