NEWSDAILYNIGERIA: Nigeria’s renowned Muslim scholar and National President of Islamic movement of Nigeria, Sheick Ibrahim yakub elzazzaky, has distributed over 50 bags of food stuffs to Christian widows, orphans and other needy at various communities in southern part of Kaduna

As part of efforts towards promoting peace and harmony among different faith based organizations in Northern Nigeria and the country in general

The gesture is geared towards assisting the less priviledged to strengthen them towards embarking on ceasless prayers for almighty God to bring an end to the insecurity bedevilling peace and stability in the country. 

According to him, this forms part of his annual Ramadan food distribution to millions of Nigerians that are facing hardship as a result of increasing high cost of food stuffs in the country. 

He pointed further that his annual Ramadan gifts to both Muslims and Christians is to encourage them to pray for peace in the nation. 

It was gathered that food distribution which started since last weekend to many Muslims communities has now been extended to Christian communities in the southern part of the states which is aimed at helping the needy in this critical situation 

As many more food stuffs would be distributed to both Muslims and Christians in this holy month of Ramadan.

Receiving the  food items at his residence, Pastor Yohanna Buru, the General overseer of Christ Evangelical and Life Intervention Ministry expressed delight and thanks  to sheick Ibrahim elzazzaky for the kind gesture and remembering the poor Christians amid the high cost of food stuffs in the markets.

Buru noted that most Christians are about to  finish their 40 days fasting which they are going to use it for the easter celebrations 

According to him,  this is not the first time the sheick is sending food items to many Christians in the southern part of the country with the aim of strengthening peaceful coexistence between Christians and Muslims in the region. 

While stressing that this would promote peace and unity among Nigerians 

Buru said, the Ramadan food distribution would be extended to some Kaduna Journalists with the aim of strengthening them towards practicing their nobel profession.
