2023 Presidency: I’m That Right Leader Nigeria Needs Now- Anyim

NEWSDAILYNIGERIA: Former Senate President and Secretary  of government of the Federation, ( SGF) Senator Anyim Pius Ayim, has described himself as the right leader Nigeria needs at this trying times to bring the country out of its leadership quagmire.

Anyim noted that records of his strides in last PDP government facilitated in stabilizing the Nigerian parliament  and democracy under the President Jonathan adding that, if given the mandate,  he’ll restore the old good days

He disclosed this during his presidential campaign visit to PDP Secretariat in Kaduna, on Monday, where further said he would offer the right and inclusive leadership for all Nigerians and tackle insecurity.

 ” If we don’t get the right leadership everything will get worst,  but if we have the right leaders, things will get better” Pointing out that what the country needs now is the right leadership,

“I  feel, I am that right leader Nigeria needs now and the reasons are from the vantage position I have held in government, I have stabilized the parliament and laid a new foundation and since after me,  no impeachment ever happened in the parliament

” I was the engine of government of the last PDP goernment under President Jonathan and today I here Nigerians

 say bring back PDP, bring us back to 2015 and on the other side APC will say bring back Jonathan”

 According to him, if entrusted with the mandate by Nigerians ” I will bring back the old good days and I want you to know that the secret of that PDP government was an inclusive government, every body, every section, every component of the entire polity was brought in,

”  I will bring women, I will bring in Youths, I will bring in they Diasporans, , I will bring in the north, I will bring in the South, I will bring in the east and I will bring in  the west

” If you know me, I don’t say what i don’t do and I dont say what I will not do, if you partner with, if you vote me in Nigeria will be greater again,” he maintained

On the failure of APC government to tackle insecurity, he said, he will get to the root  cause ” and the root cause is political, socio and economic, if you revive the textiles industries here and thousands of people are engaged and many are taken out of the streets crime will reduce, 

” there are people agitating

 politically, if you listen to them and address their agitations that one goes down and now socially, we have cultism, vices, people are out of school, the school system has broken down, when you overhaul the school system that also will be taken care off

He said  ” We will develop a holistic architecture that will tackle insecurity from the root, if you know the open letter, I wrote to the President, I was clear that military action alone would not resolve insecurity”

While giving his address, former Governor of Kaduna, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, welcomed Senator Anyim Pius Anyim and team to Kaduna, desctibing him as ’eminently qualified’ for the position, adding however that the PDP is a party full iof several ‘ eminiently qualified aspirants’ and Nigerians as members.

Makarfi commended the level of support he has across board in Kaduna,  saying     ” not just your official campaign team, you have other leaders associated with you, who are not officially your campaign team, but are leaders that can do wonders for you and I believe they will do so

 ” We appreciate your coming, Kaduna is home for you and be rest- assured that you have people who can do a lot of work for you here in Kaduna” he reiterated
