NEWSDAILYNIGERIA: The Igbo Community Welfare Association, Kaduna State, has again, recognized the unmatchable contributions and achievements of High Chief Dr. Chetachi Nwoga-Ecton, in different spheres of life, as she was conferred with the chieftancy title “ADA-NDIGBO JIEJE-MBA, KADUNA”.

The conferment was done on Saturday during its annual celebration tagged “Igbo Day” by the Eze-igbo of Kaduna and Zaria, with all other highnesses present, in a colourful event at Prison Staff College, Barnawa, Kaduna.

Accompanied by his majesty from Imo state, High Chief Dr. Martins Amako, Dr. Ecton in her acceptance speech, thanked the Igbo Community for seeing her worthy for such a prestigious title.

“I’m grateful and happy, I wasn’t expecting all these, but since you have so much trust in me to award me this title, then I will not reject, I accept wholeheartedly,” she said.

“I also know that there is something else that we’re supposed to be doing, we’re supposed to be building Community Hall, Civic Centre here in Kaduna.”

“As you all know, I don’t have any level, because I am for all, not just only for one person, but for all. As your Ada, Ada-Ora of Igbo Land, here in Kaduna, I will like to tell all of you today, that I will contribute to this Civic Centre with amount of N15, 0000,000.00.” She added.

She therefore, thanked her team across the 32 states of the country, for always standing by her, and giving her helping hands to achieve all that she has been able to, within a short period of time.

Recall that Dr. Chetachi Nwoga-Ecton is the President/CEO of When In Need (WIN) Foundation and Every Life Matters Humanitarian (ELIHM) Foundation, which have contributed immensely toward providing humanitarian services to the needy and less privileged across the country, and other continents of the world, without cultural or religion colouration.

To this end, all her contributions are not gone unnoticed, as she has so far been conferred, and awarded different titles and honours this year, such as the “Tir Ham” of Hamland, the “Mother of the King” in Chawai Kingdom, “50 most influential persons” by IWPCAFRICA, among others.

The events which was officially sponsored by the Star lager beer, had in attendance highly influential persons within Kaduna town and its environs, among whom are, the gubernatorial candidate of the PDP, Hon. Ashiru Kudan, his closest rival from the APC Senator Uba Sani (represented), among others.

Cultural troupes of different kingdoms, varieties of delicacies, locally brewed brands of drinks were all seen in different locations of the venue, to add colour to the event.

The event which is celebrated every year by the sons and daughters of Igbo extraction here in Kaduna State, was a memorable one this year, despite the economy woes being faced by citizens of the country.
