APC Guber Candidate Charges Elites To Support Indigents, Bridge Educational Gap

..Says foundation spends 50 million annually on girl- child education

NEWSDAILYNIGERIA: The gubernatorial candidate of the All progressive congress,( APC) in Kaduna State, Mallam Uba Sani, has called on northern elites and spirited individuals to support and sponsor indigents children acqiure education and bridge the gap between the north and south.

Uba Sani, said like the south, the northern elities and priviliged individuals must invest and Support education, as no state government in northern Nigeria can on its own fund education.

He then called for the contribution, cooperation and collaboration of the privileged to help the poor and less privileged pay theiir fees and acquire education.

Uba Sani made this call while responding to a question on the hike in tuition, at the ongoing maiden media parley with political office seekers in Kaduna state on saturday at the NUJ  Press Centre, where he further outlined his plans, vision and mission if elected come 2023.

” some people are crying, that school fees have been increased, how will they pay school fees, I challenge the elites to support; every time we are talking about  the educational gap between the north and the south, did you go to the south; it is not government, 

” individuals are supporting government in enhancing educational development in the south, but in the north we sit down and take our children to school abroad and we don’t support the indigents or brilliant students, 

” So I challenge and provoke every body who  atleast is in a better position of authority, to come out and support the indigents, don’t be sitting down and talking about school fees,  that is not how to solve the problem, 

“bring your money and support the indigents, just like I did this morning, that’s what I want every body to be  doing, let’s not sit down and pretend and off course you are aware of Uba Sani foundation, 

” every year we’re spending 50million for girl child education in this state from my personal money that’s what Gov El- rufai was talking about generosity, because he’s aware of what I am doing

”  and that is the reason why I want to provoke other leaders to do the same, if you cannot spent 50million naira like Uba Sani, spend 1million naira, …… It’s a contribution and collaboration

”  because no government in northern Nigeria can sponsor education, individuals and people that are privileged must also compliment efforts of the government, if we  want to now close the gap between the north and the south interms of educational challenges that we are facing at the moment”
