NEWSDAILYNIGERIA: Southern Kaduna Youths and Students Forum, (SKYSFOM) has elected new leaders to lead the body towards peace building and youth empowerment.

At the inauguration of the elected leaders in Zonkwa, Zangon Kataf Local Government area of Kaduna State, chairman of the electoral Committee Mr Gideon Joseph who was represented by his secretary Didam Amos David said the three presidential candidates Mr Shedrack Danladi, Markus Emmanuel Kajit and maikano Jerry Mendous scored 40,18 and 17 votes respectively.

In his acceptance speech,the newly elected president of the forum Mr Shedrack Danladi promised to engage relevant stakeholders to improve learning condition,and the welfare of the students.

He also assured that he will do anything humanly possible to restore the image of the forum to make it a global and attractive body that will attract the needed attention from stakeholders in the region.

‘we will visit all institution across the nation and listen to the concern of our students so as we can identify thier challenges and map out steps in solving them.

‘southern Kaduna is made up of bright students,so we will make sure we work with key Stakeholders in the region aimed at bringing out initiative to reward bright and talented students ‘,he explained

Comrade Shedrack Danladi also added that the Forum will promote peace and secure the various communities in collaboration with security agencies through continues engagement.

‘we will engage the students to be law abiding and also network
by encouraging the students to share positive information to security agencies in order to nib to the bud all manner of challenges bedeviling the region and the state in general’,he added

On the issue of students welfarism,the elected president stressed that the forum will mitigate and engage constituted authorities, sons and daughters of the region on possible ways to make thier lives better.

‘expect an advocacy visit to key Stakeholders in southern kaduna where we will map out individuals and corporate bodies that have a stake in the region and ensure we concientise ourselves on why we need to invest in the youth and students of the region’,he concluded.

The president further called on the students and youths of the region to be role models and decision makers geered towards solving their immediate problems for the betterment of the country at large.

Seventy five delegates voted for various elective positions in the Southern Kaduna Youths and Students Forum election where Shedrack Danladi emerged as the President and Theophilus Ishaya as Secretary General.

The two contending secretaries Mr Theophilus Ishaya and Sabo Eli scored 64 and 11 votes respectively,while all other elective positions were un-opposed.
