NEWSDAILYNIGERIA: The self-acclaimed factional leader of the Labour Party (LP), Lamidi Apapa was on Wednesday, booed and mocked at the premises of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja.

The shouts of “Ole, ole”, “thief, thief”, “spoiler”, “sell out”, “blackleg”, “saboteur”, and “APC mole”, among others rented the air as Apapa tried to exit from the court shortly after it adjourned sitting.

Apapa had shortly before the Court commenced sitting, led some of his followers to quarrel over seats where the Labour Party members were to sit for the court process.

Lamidi Apapa, who has been angling to take over the leadership of the party since the conclusion of the presidential election, narrowly escaped being mobbed as he was shielded by policemen and smuggled to where his car was parked outside the Court premises.

When Apapa attempted to speak with journalists, he was countered by the persistent and continuous chants against him which rendered whatever he wanted to say inaudible and ineffective. the forefront reports.
