Rep Ekene Donates Transformers, Cars, Bikes, Cash To Constituents Across Party Lines

NEWSDAILYNIGERIA: The Member representing Chikun/Kajuru in the Federal House of representatives, Hon Adams Ekene Abubakar, has donated, 10 transformers, 6 cars, 2 motor bikes, and 150,000 each to wives of the political parties’ leadership in the constituency.

The Labour Party, (LP) Lawmaker’s unprecedented gesture to his constituents, irrespective of political party affiliations, especially the two major opposition parties ( APC, PDP) is described, as first of its kind in the constituency and State.

He made these donations in an election victory ‘Thank you’ celebration on Sunday, at Sabon Tasha, Kaduna.

He however pointed out that, the kind gestures to his constituents is not an official one, but a personal effort, to alleviate the suffering of the people and empower them to face life’s present and future challenges among others.

According to him, it takes a visionary and creative leaders to know what his constituency desired and start thinking outside the box immediately, to get cooporate organizations and well wishers from different parts of the globe to come and support his constituency.

The LP elected lawmaker, noted that the problems of all the villages visited during campaign are well known challenges and would be addressed accordingly one after the other.

While assuring his constituents that what they witnessed today in terms of empowerment and other dividends of democracy were just like a tip of the iceberg, promising them of a new dawn in the history of Kaduna politics.

He further assured that by the time their constituency projects allowance comes in, more empowerment would be given to them, “this is personal.

“We’ve to come back to them and ask what did you want for us to put as your constituency projects for the first and second quarters.” he said.

He also promised to continue with his predecessors’ projects by way of improving on them where and when necessary, and work with the Kaduna state government.

On the issue of insecurity, he promised to work with Kaduna state government and local security to curb it, and also observed that youths joblessness and idleness had contributed to the rising insecurity and crimes in the constituency and state, hence the empowerment.

Speaking on what informed carrying other political parties leaders along in the empowerment, saying, the essence is to entrench peace in the society, adding that there’s need to carry people of other parties along to avoid things like sabotage by their supporters,

He stressed that “Political leadership is all about service to humanity”, noting that, the country’s major challenges include how to empower the people for the opportunity and confidence reposed on them by the electorates.

Highpoints of the event include, the presentation of the 10 transformers to the benefitting communities through their Chiefs, 6 Porsche cars/bikes to supporters, as past and present political leaders, women, youth groups and wellwishers were thrilled to cultural displays and lots more.
