Hon Gowon Introduces Town-Hall Meeting To Engage Directly With Constituents

NEWSDAILYNIGERIA: The House of Assembly Member, representing Bassa/Dekina Federal Constituency, Hon. Paul Gowon Haruna has introduced a Constituency Town hall Meeting as means of having a direct engagement with his Constituency people.

In a statement released by his Media Aid, Khalid Bala Khalid Kay, said, the purpose of the town hall meeting was to hear from those Hon. Haruna was representing them directly and thereafter take a decision that will cater for their wellbeing.

The town hall meeting which was organized by the Hon Gowon himself, and held at Idrinana Hotel, Lokoja, have in attendance, key stakeholders from Bassa/Dekina Federal Constituency.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Haruna appreciated the people for their unwavering support, saying, he organized this town hall meeting just to hear from them directly and know their present needs which in turn would be put into legislation among other things.

While addressing them, he provided a comprehensive overview of his legislative activities, including bills that he sponsored, motions moved, and active participation in parliamentary discussions; aimed as informing the stakeholders about the legislator’s efforts in representing the interests of the Bassa/Dekina Federal Constituency at the National level.

He equally highlighted key focus by detailing them on his actions which have translated into tangible benefits for the constituency. This he said, includes, updates on developmental projects, infrastructure initiatives, and advocacy efforts that have a direct impact on the well-being of the communities in Bassa/ Dekina Federal Constituency.

During the meeting, feedback were received from the stakeholders through questions and answer section; and this was so, in order to hear if there are any constructive ideal from the constituents in ensuring that their voices are heard and addressed.

Hon. Paul Gowon Haruna however, concluded the meeting by expressing his gratitude for the active participation of stakeholders. While reiterated his commitment to continued collaboration and pledged to incorporate the valuable feedback received into his ongoing legislative endeavors.

This outreach was crucial in ensuring that the wider public was informed about the legislator’s activities and the outcomes of the town hall meeting.
