NEWSDAILYNIGERIA: In an atmosphere of siege and crimes, the burden fell on the authority to find lasting solutions to the menace on time, in order not to get out of control. When a government give room for suspicion, the citizens loose the hope of salvation from terror. While the government on the first hand will be held responsible for anything that doesn’t protect the live of any ordinary citizen, it becomes imperative on the citizens to support the government, so that at the end of the day, things will take the proper shape. The development in Kaduna, especially in rural areas , have become a thing of embarrassment to every right thinking person.

The infringement on the privacy of people at night under the covers of darkness to bundle them to unknown place is unacceptable, and the government must act fast. The action of the bandits now parading around and left history of sadness on many family must be a thing of concern to everyone. The night mauraders did not care about anyone’s age, women and little children are been kidnapped, and negotiate on their heads on what they called ransom. They have turned forests in Kaduna into evil forests, where they now assume the role of kingpin.

The government should unravel of how we get to the stage, where human life has become so cheap. What are the angers of the Bandits that makes them to go around at odd hours to deprive people of their peace? All machineries at the disposal of the state government and with assistant from the Federal Government must be applied to get to the roots of the madness, and unravel their sponsor’s. The criminals and their masters must be brought to book and face the law. The authority should not wait till the citizens take law into their hands to deal with the situation. We must all know, that if allowed this banditry to continue unabated and all villages and surrounding are consumed, they the bandits will have the audacity to invade the city and commit mayhem’s. They will spell danger for the economic survival of the state, and the bandits and their masters will become a hard nut to crack.

The government must start to investigate from those villages that have become victims for many times, put them on alert, and regular day and night patrols by the various security outfits, in order to reduce the menace and completely wiped out. Most importantly, the state government and all the agencies on land and housing matters, should be given a matching order to look into the issue of land and abandoned projects, including estates, in order to ascertain the veracity of such property. This suggestions, if taken in good faith, will go a long way to douse the tension created by the so called bandits.

The government can use its hammer to confiscate such land when they are left undeveloped. They the claimant can also be given a grace of six months or a year to develop the land or property as the case may be, or one loses it. The immediate past government of Mallam Nasiru Ahmed Elrufai apply such hammer while in office, especially ,on land in Millennium City and environs, and it worked perfectly. All the Plazas on Umar Musa Yaradua Road in the Millennium City were erected, when they were given time to develop or loose the offer. All hands must be on deck for us to defeat the menace of Bandits in Kaduna State, so that we can all sleep with our two eyes closed at night.
