” As we pray and hope that the heavenly angelic tidings that heralded the first Christmas will relive its blessings upon us as a people, we also pray that the celebration and season may usher in a new year of hope and peace in our nation and our world in general.

” We urge Nigerians to continue to strengthen the ideals and  virtues that encourage peace,  unity, justice and progress as no meaningful development would take place in the absence of these.
