Afan Festival 2025: Oegwam Oegworok Leads Delegation To Sir Kashim House

NEWSDAILYNIGERIA: The Chief of Kagoro( Oegwam Oegworok) HRH Dr. Ufuwai Bonet, led a delegation from Gworok Chiefdom to pay a courtesy visit to Kaduna State Deputy Governor, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, Kaduna on Tuesday 7/1/2025.

The delegation included some of the Chief’s Tradition Council members, key personalities from Kaura Local Government, notably Professor Gambo Duniya, President of the Gworok Development Association (GDA), and the Kaduna State Commissioner for Sports Development, Professor Benjamin K. Gugong.

Speaking during the visit, Professor Duniya expressed gratitude to the Deputy Governor for graciously attending the 2025 Afan National Festival, which was held on January 1st.

He also conveyed the chiefdom’s appreciation to Governor Uba Sani for his administration’s successful efforts in improving security in the Kaduna State and Southern Kaduna in particular.

He noted that the enhanced security situation enabled the resumption of the cultural festival, which had been previously suspended due to safety concerns.
