NEWSDAILYNIGERIA: ANY discussion about the future of politics in Nigeria especially in Kano State cannot afford not to take into account the potential of Senator Barau I Jibrin, the current Deputy Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The pendulum of the measure of the Kano born politician success in Kano State and beyond is alarming. He is one of the brain box of the happenings at the Red Chamber who has gained the respect of his colleagues who called him DSP .

As a matter of fact, the pendulum has become a nightmare to the opposition especially in Kano State, where the Senator has become a petrel and a politician of all times.

His hold on Kano politics has become notable as no day passes without the Senator received thousand of supporters of other political parties in the state decamping into the All Progressive Congress (APC) , the party he represent in the Red Chamber. These supporters are mainly from the NNPP ruling party in Kano State. The activities of Barau political machinery, have sent jitters to other political party in the state, and there is no end in sight.

No day passes without Senator Barau welcoming decampees from other party into his camp, mostly from the ruling NNPP, which has affected the ruling party popularity not only in Kano North Senatorial Constituency, where the Senator hailed, but across the entire Kano State.

From the Three Senatorial Districts, the Senator along with other political leaders across Kano State, have been able to decimated other political parties, to run from pillars to poles.

All the while, slowly but surely, the Kano North Senator turned into a politician with a midas touch said to be in born, with a leadership traits from childhood. He was described as a generous and kind lad during his school days and always ready to offer assistant to the downtrodden, the talakawas and never abandoned the big heart to help till dates.

Those who are closer to him said he could not be stopped because of his humane approach to issues, adding that as things were his political future is decidedly bright, hence the cooperation of the people to share in his vision.

Some notable politicians in Kano believed that the Kano North Senator had the ability to turn the table against the NNPP goverment in Kano with the support of other political gurus in the APC in 2027 election.

Added to his commitment to help other people, both the old and the young, Senator Barau has written his name in gold, as many have benefited from his kindness. The political hawk is said to be eyeing the two other senatorial districts, where many have now embraced the philosophy of the politician popularly known and called DSP among his numerous fans.

Senator Barau has given the Kwakwasiya group in Kano a dose of politics that every other days, many decampees from the Redcap in public removed the cap and embrace the APC in droves.

As it is, the man has taken the plights of others especially the common man into consideration, and anytime he is in Kano, his house become a Mecca of sorts.

As one of his cardinal programme, Senator Barau has put the emancipation of the talakawas to the front burners to assist them to live a better life.

The Senator cardinal programmes which includes scholarship to the children of the poor, the registration of many Almajiri children into western and Arabic schools, incentive to those in small scale business groups, are among many other activities of the Barau political dynasty.

The feeling of Barau Touch and political sagacity have weakened the ruling party in Kano State, as the public support for the man of the moment is high, not only in the city, but also at the grassroots. He is likened to the second coming of the leader of the Talakawas in those days, Mallam Aminu Kano.

Most importantly, the charisma of the Kano born politician and Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and political exposures, not only limited to Kano, but across the Niger, continue to , because of his to to walk his talk continue to touch the lives of his followers positively.
