Only A Thorough Cleanup Can Dredge Up Nigeria From The Slough

NEWSDAILYNIGERIA: That our dear country Nigeria is the number One capital of kwaraption is no longer the subject of any debate even in beer parlors, palm wine bars or around the tables of local tea/beverage sellers popularly called Mai Shayi in the North and perhaps elsewhere. The stench and toxic fumes of Kwaraption is choking enough snd making normal breathing almost imposible. There is kwsraption in slmost every society in one form or another including in the so-called advanced democracies. Donald J Trump campaigning for his first term for the US White House talked of ” Draining the Washington Swamps” but the swamps perhaps drained him out in his reelection bid. Now that he is president again he appears to be working in that direction as the search lights have neen turned on, on USAID, tha all powerful CIA and FBI amongst others. This ie is
classically what fighting the cankerworm of kwaraption is all about at the very least.

In Nigeria, all that governments
have been engaged in is mouthing out the fight against kwaraption whilst pampering the kwarapt. Challatants have serially been appointed as Chairmen/chairwoman of the anti kwaraption outfit going by the name of EFCC and in almost every case they were themselves mired in thah same “Slough of Despond” of the monster. It is very difficult if the former EFCC helmsmen/woman can stand before a huge mirrow to give the correct account of their stewardship while in office. One of such characters and current National Security Adviser has been publictly challenged by a certain Hajia Naja’atu Mohammed who has dredged up some of what he had said about certain individuals who he had alleged eere fantastically kwarapt invluding the current president of the Federation. He responded by demanding a retraction of what was unearthed about him or else but the Hajia has stood firm daring him to take her to a court of law. The truth remains that Emilokan himself knows that the NSA did make such.pronouncement when he was Lagos State governor.

The problem with the so-called fight against kwaraption is how the kwarapt can investigate kwaraption, it simply does not work that way. Not any different from the practice of appointing retired military officers and others actively either sponsoring terrorism, supporting it or at the very least sympathetic to the terrorist cause. Such have been meeting and have been recommending what they know will not work. The ” Deep State” operating in Nigeria has been responsible for the inability of the Nigerian State to effectively record any success either in the snti kwaraption efforts or in the fight against Boko Haram and the hordes of other terrorist groups freely operating in Nigeria. There is clearly no honest desire to fight kearaption in Nigeria therefore the monster has grown in leap and bounds.

The greatest undoing of the Nigerian State remains the IBB imposed Military Constitution which was firced down the troats throats of Nigerians for mwhilst it is supposed to be ” a peoples constitution” meant to serve the people, its practisioners have all but weaponized it against the people. Those who ought to be the representstives of the people are at best serving only their narrow self interest. The Nigerian people are not any different from prisoners of war having been captured by those they supposedly voted into the various political offices. Elections have now been made irrelevant as the supposedly State Independent Electoral Commissions responsible for organizing State lelections classically embarked on turbaning their favourite candidates as Local Council Chairmen as eell as the councillors from the governing political parties in almost all the States of the Federation. Shockingly this electoral heist was allowed to stand without any challenge from even the candidates of the opposition political parties. If this is not electoral kwaraption what is it to be called?

Nigeria, Our Nigeria has been victim of political rape and possibly incest given the manner the game of politics has or is being played. No State in Nigeria epitomizes kwarsption as Kaduna State under the reign of the impish former dictator Malam El Ruffy for the period of his fictatorship, he was ALL of the law standing taller than the courts of the land. That as the former accidental civil servant that he wrote he was. His disasterous outing first as the tzar of BPE and next as the Minister of the FCT under the PDP leadership and the tones of baggage that followed him, he escaped to a foreign clime under the guise of furthering his studies but returned immediately after the return of clement political weather to be foisted upon the hapless people of Kaduna State by Muhammadu Buhari whom he had made a caricature of previously. Under El Ruffy as governor the people of Kaduna but especially my people in Southern Kaduna meant nothing to him. He invited the crook in a certain Jimmy Lawal and hordes of others who helped him to systemsticslly milk Kaduna to near bankruptcy. He used a few of his political sppointees to plunder the State. That he is now claiming he never took a kobo from the coffers of the State is the very height of falsehood as the evidence of hanging bridges, uncompleted roads are everywhere for those interested to see amongst others. His performance report in Kaduna was so bad such that he withdrew to strategize for higher political office either as Secretary to the Government of the Federation or as Chief of Staff to Predident Rmilokan. It soon became clear that he was not going to get either. Even so, and typical of the impish former dictator, he lobbied underground to be appointed a Minister but failed too, he thereafter resorted to antagonizing the president.

If you think that the former impish dictator is done with his trickery, you better think again. One thing about him is that he is guilty of amnesia as he never remembers that he insults people freely the moment such are on his opposite side of the divide. He spoke unprintable words agains his principals Atiku Abubakar, President Obasonjo as well as Emilokan. In all of these he is seeking an opening for the pursuit of his highly toxic political ambition. To achieve this he is ready to grovel and kneel down at the feet of whoever does not yet know him. He is ready to flirt with whochever political party or personality that will help his cause. In truth, the former impish dictator has become so toxic that those close to him must acquire special gear for protection againtd the toxic fumes. Because he has an eye on 2027,; he is runing from pillar to post in trying to make friends to support his wild dreams.

Even as our countrymen and women are reeling with the current economic hardship wrought on us by Emilokan’s economic policies the former Military dictator in IBB came to town in a book lounch. The Book, ” A Journey in Service ” to date the worse book ever wrtten in my humble opinion was said to have rained a whopping 17 billion naira into the coffers of the former fictator. IBB’s book and its contents to many amounted to exploding a neutron bomb on Nigerians. The half truths and share lies and claims are making many to question exactly what IBB intended to achieve by writing and launching the book at this time when for all the time pass and for reasons best known to him.and only himself alone. Must of the players in the book are departed to the Great Beyond and so the author is at liberty to say whatever he contrived about them since the dead cannot state their own version of events. Put simply IBB betrayed his friends and others who worked for him but eill come face to face with them when we get there in due time.

Without even reading IBB’s book, the comments about it on Social Media platforms is enough for Nigerins to make a quick return to.the ” Covid 19 Nose mask era” to protect themselves from the foul stench exuding from all of its pages. A challenge has been thrown to the likes of David Mark as well as the few others who received the bashing of his pen. My very sincere reccommendation is that Nigeria as things now stand requires s thorough clean up of the augean stable.if she is to survive. Oir dear country is in this mess today because we have failed to hold our former leadership to account to the Nigerian people. South Korea is currently holding her suspended president to account for his action in office. Donald J Trump is pursuing a cleanup of some agencies of the US government. That is ecactly what urgently needs to be done here but who is clean enough to undertake this arduous task when almost every leader is mired in KWARAPTION. Nigeria We Hail Thee. To God Be The Glory.
