Just In: Kaduna NUJ Chairman Loses Wife

NEWSDAILYNIGERIA: The death has occured of the wife of the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kaduna State Council, Comrade Abdulgafar Alabelewe.

Though details are still sketchy, she was said to have passed on at about 12am on Sunday August 24, 2025.

When called to confirm the incident, Comrade Abdulgafar explained that she died after a brief illness.

“She died as a result of Malaria,” he said.

The NUJ chairman who was still in shock at the time of the call, could not provide further details.

It is expected that her remains may be committed to mother earth later today, according to Islamic injunctions.

May her gentle soul rest in Aljannah Firdaus.
