NEWSDAILYNIGERIA: Human Rights Activist and Political Analyst, Dr, Suleiman Shuaibu Shinkafi, has refuted the news making the rounds, especially on the Sahara Reporters, linking the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Muhammad Matawalle to banditry and kidnapping in the country.

Shinkarfi maintained that the allegation in the SaharaReporters publication alleging that the Minister gave 36 Hilux vehicles to bandits and still in discussions with terrorists is far from the truth.

The activist emphasized that such allegation is nothing, but a calculated attempt to ruined the good earned name of the Minister, adding that the allegations are politically motivated.

In a statement made available to newsmen in Kaduna at the weekend, Shinkarfi noted that Minister Matawalle is a noble personality who had served Zamfara state as a Governor tremendously and still serving the entire country to ensuring that the citizens are safe in their endeavors.

The political analyst further explained that the said allegation is a desperate attempt to rubbish the outstanding results the Minister has delivered since his appointment.

According to Shinkarfi, the allegation was investigated and thrown away by security agencies years ago.

He added that the allegation is a recycled lies that should not be taken seriously by the public, adding that, this is because, the allegation could not be established by the Sahara Reporters and their sponsors.

” It is obvious that the rising profile of the Minister is already giving the enemies of the country headache, owing to the fact that the Minister is not failing in his responsibility, and this, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu can attest to,” Shinkarfi said.
