NEWSDAILYNIGERIA: Kaduna based Human Rights Activist, Dr, Suleiman Shuaibu Shinkafi, has applauded the coordinated efforts of the Federal Government and that of the Minister of State for Defence, Dr Bello Mohammed Matawalle for ensuring the release of the abducted students of the Government Girls’ Comprehensive Secondary School, Maga, in Kebbi state.

The Rights Activist noted that the efforts of Matawalle which led to the release of the abducted students was a testament to the Minister’s capacity in securing the lives and properties of Nigerians.

He said, as the country looks forward to seeing that the country and the people are free from banditry, kidnapping and any other form of insecurity, he urged Nigerians to keep supporting the government of the day, and give information that may be useful in the fight against insecurity.

Dr. Shinkafi who is a political analyst, in a statement on Wednesday rejoiced with the family members of the released students.

In the statement, he emphatically said that the critics of the Minister, who had earlier sought for his removal have all been put to shame, while urging the Minister not to be distracted by the antics of the opposition, who he said, ‘do not mean well for the country’.

“Matawalle is one of the performing Ministers in the country today, and in the history of the country. This is obvious, as he has proven his worth.

“The efforts for the rescue and safe return of all the abducted students of Government Girls’ Comprehensive Secondary School, Maga, Kebbi state has further demonstrated and justified his capability in running the office, as against the call for his removal from office by the enemies of the country,” Shinkafi emphasized.

This is just as he further explained that Matawalle’s approach to insecurity, which he deployed while serving as governor of Zamfara State, has again been exemplified in coordinating the successful rescue of the abducted Maga school children.

Dr. Shinkafi said: ” we thank all the security agencies involved in the rescue mission, who professionally rescued the students, and we urged them to maintain the tempo until the bandits and their sponsors are brought to their knees.”

He therefore urged the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led administration in Zamfara state to keep its campaign promises and face its constitutional mandates, rather than being distracted by the growing profile and popularity of Matawalle across the country.
