Netanyahu Slams UNGA Delegates “Moral Cowards’ over Mass walk out and ‘ “Mind-blowing hypocrisy”

NEWSDAILYNIGERIA: Isreali Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has slamned dozens of world leaders that embarked on a mass walk out as he got to the rostrum to speak at the UN General Assembly.

​”If there are any other moral cowards who haven’t yet left this hall, please do so now. Thank you very much”.he said. 

​The Palestinian mission to the United Nations had called for the walkout.  

​However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in his speech thanked US President Donald Trump for taking decisive action against Iran.  

​He accused other world leaders of hypocrisy.  ” In defending itself, Israel is also defending many of the countries whose delegates just left this hall. In fact, I want you to know that many of their leaders even thanked us privately for taking out Iran’s nukes. It’s hard to imagine more mind-blowing hypocrisy, but that’s exactly what it is”.  

​Prior to Netanyahu, the Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, addressed the assembly.  

​He did so in pre-recorded remarks from his office in Ramallah.  

​He and other top Palestinian officials were denied visas by the United States to attend for the second year in a row. 

​He warned of great danger ahead for Palestinians.  

​”The danger is no longer limited to undermining the two-state solution and preventing the realization of a Palestinian state. It now threatens the very life and existence of the Palestinian people in their homeland”.  

​Outside the UN headquarters, actress Susan Sarandon was among protesters detained in a demonstration in support of Palestine and against Netanyahu’s address to the UN General Assembly.
