The Nigeria Union of Journalists ,Kaduna State Council has described the death of the first civilian Governor of defunct Kaduna State Alhaji Abdulkadir Balarabe Musa as a colossal loss to the media,Kaduna State and Nigeria.

In a statement signed by the NUJ State Secretary,Comrade John Femi Adi,on Wednesday,it sees the deceased as a fearless and selfless democrat and patriot the country would surely miss.

According to NUJ “The late Balarabe Musa was not only a true friend ,who never missed any opportunity to engage the media, but also one personality whose doors were widely opened to journalists anytime for interviews.

‘ The second Republic governor would be remembered for his invaluable contributions to National discourse ,development and passion for the liberation as well as empowerment of the Talakawa(Masses).

Adding that “He would also be remembered for his consistent conviction and strong believe in the socialist ideology for an egalitarian society, where the masses enjoy equal opportunity and social justice .

“He was fearless and selfless even ,when he was faced with threat of impeachment by retrogressive forces .

” He was a Nigerian patriot in the traditional late Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Late Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe and Late Aminu Kano ,who was passionate about the liberation of the Talakawa(masses) from the doldrums of operation to freedom.

“The entire members of NUJ, Kaduna State Council condole the family of the visionary leader ,whose 16-point agenda midwived the path for development of Kaduna State as a modern society.

May his soul rest in peace .”the statement added
