Group Urges Nigerians To Give Women Opportunity To Represent Them During Elections.

– Commends El-rufai for appointing Hajia Hadiza as Deputy Gov.

-Vows to support women achieve political aspirations

NEWSDAILYNIGERIA -The kaduna State Women Consultative Network has pleaded with Nigerians to give the womenfolk the opportunity to represent them during election periods.

The President of the Network, Mrs Halima Lanti Hurt Waziri made the plea while meeting with her executives recently,in Kaduna.

Halima Lanti said,the mission of the Network is to see how they can assist women up their games during elections especially during the forth coming local Government elections.

She commended Governor Nasir El-rufa’i for given a woman as his deputy and also appointing many women to sensitive positions in his government.

Halima Lanti also said that they are out to help give Women who are interested, opportunities to participate in leadership and governance.

She said that they have prepared well to receive Women in their first meeting to be held at Magajin Gari Rehabilitation Center next Thursday.

Also speaking, the secretary of the Network, Hajia Aishat Ahmed said they have to prepare the women contestants to face the rigors of elections.

She condemned the narratives by some people who always called Women all sort of names just because the are seeking elective positions.
