..Says El-rufai sacked him without entitlement

NewsDailyNigeria– A 46 years old visually impaired Civil Servant sacked by Governor Nasir El-rufai has vowed to take his case to President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja if El-rufai refuses to reinstate him or further delayed in the payment of his entitlement.

He disclosed that he was working in the Social Welfare department, Kaduna North Local Government Council of the state as a full staff, until he received his purported retirement letter in April 2021,

He made this known in an interview with Journalists at the Kaduna state Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), recently

According to him, he was employed in 17th May 1995, as an assistant Craftsman, through a letter given to him by former Governor Ja’faru Isa,, adding that, he has undergone several screening before now and under El-rufai.

He said his visit to the Nigeria Union of Journalists( NUJ), Kaduna State council was because El-rufai went on air on a Thursday telling the world that he didn’t sack or retire any worker in Kaduna state.

“See my sack letter. Now he has retired us from work and I’m not seeing anything, no money has come, no salary has come again, nothing. We’re just staying like that. And he said he did not want to go out and be begging.

While further lamenting challenges he’s facing said “ my house rent is due in the house I’m living, but no money to pay. They pursue my children from school because of fees but no money to pay. I’m just sitting down like this. Even food to eat in my house is a problem for me now”, he stressed

He however appealed to the government to call him and others sacked back to continue with their work.

He also requested that he should be returned back to work till next 9-10 years later when he’ll be due for mandatory retirement since El-rufai said he didn’t sack anybody.

“El-rufai said he didn’t sack or retired any worker, see my retirement letter in my hands. So I’m here to beg him to return us to work for sake of God”, he said, adding that since April when he was sacked he did not received any salay again, and nothing was given him as entitlement till now.

“I have four children and one wife, one is in Federal University, Kogi state. She has been calling me for her school fees, even the small ones in primary and secondary are disturbing me, but I could not find money to pay theirs. They’re crying to me for food, school fees.

“My plan is that, if El-rufai did not call us back, I’ll go to Abuja and see President Muhamadu Buhari. I’ll tell him if he can find me another work to do to take care of my family and my children because I cannot beg. I’m not use to begging”, he added

Mathew also hinted that three of them were blind in their family but two later died hence the only surviving member of the family adding that he gradually lost his sight while in primary school class room when he could no longer see the blackboard very well anymore.
