Maulud: Christian Clerics Felicitate With Muslims On Birth Of Prophet Mohammed

NEWSDAILYNIGERIA– Pastor Yohanna Buru, the General Overseer of Christ Evangelical and Life Intervention Ministry Sabon Tasha, Kaduna and his fellow Christian clerics, have felicitated with Muslims Worldwide on the occasion of Maulud celebration marking the birth of the prophet Mohammed(PBUH)

While tasking Muslims to use the occasion toward praying for peace, stability and unity of the people of the country, Buru said, he has started sending hundreds of SMS to all his Muslims friends both in Nigeria and abroad since last week with the aim of strengthening Christian and Muslim relations

Adding that the occasion was an appropriate time for the promotion of peaceful coexistence and inter-religious tolerance in the country.

He said, over 100 Christian scholars across the north have started sending congratulatory messages to Muslims Imams and Alaramma with the aims of felicitating with them on the birth of prophet Mohammed, so as to promote better understanding, religious tolerance, peace, love and unity

” Last year, i attended many Maulud celebrations with other Christian clerics to strengthen good relationship with our Muslim brothers

”Stressing that celebrating the birthday of Prophet Mohammed goes beyond Muslims alone, simply the Prophet is for every one irrespective of tribe, culture, color, continent and region, as he preached peace, love, unity and tolerance throughout his life.”

He congratulated Sheik Dahiru Bauchi,Sheik Ibrahim Yakub El-zazzaky and the Sultan of sokoto Alhaji Abubakar Sa’ad 111The Christian cleric said, every year hundreds of Muslims do visit him at his home to celebrate Christmas the birth of Jesus Christ.

According to him for many years, they have been celebrating the birth of the Jesus Christ at his church to strengthening Christian Muslims relations and to foster peace and unity among Nigerians.

The Pastor further disclosed that he had read many books about the Holy Prophet on the various roles he played in promoting peaceful coexistence among different faiths and his exemplary religious tolerance.

Similarly pastor Paul John called on Muslims to use the occasion toward for the unity the nation,He said, ” many Muslims join us every year during Christmas services to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ

“we congratulate Muslims all over the world and wishes them all the best, we want them to use the holiday toward praying for peace and stability in the country” he added.

On his part, Pastor Joel Zigo from Southern Kaduna says “ we are one family under God, we must live together in peace with one another to make Nigeria great ”

He then called on Imam and Pastors to continue to pray for Nigerian Military on peace mission, while praying to almighty God to help them toward succeeding in all their operation

He equally called on states and Federal Government to bring an end to the security challenges bedeviling the country.

Responding also, Pastor Joshua Ahmed stressed the need for Muslims and Christians to keep praying to Almighty God to bring an end to Covid- 19 and general insecurity challenges bedeviling peace and stability in the country

Ahmed said, he has always participated in Maulud celebration to strengthen Christian- Muslim relations in the state and other neighbouring States as the harmattan season approaches,

He called on wealthy individuals and organisations to support the needy, and provide food and clothing to orphanage homes, as the harmattan season begins.

“We congratulate Muslims all over the world as they celebrate Maulud. We wish you joy and happiness as you celebrate the birth of the Holy Prophet,’ he added.
