NEWSDAILYNIGERIA: The Interfaith mediation center, Kaduna (IMC) through her several intervention organs has appealed to the government and security agencies  to ensure the safety and security of lives and property of citizenss in the state.

In a statement jointly issued on friday by :Samson Auta —- CPAN Coordinator,  Bitrus Dangiwa —- IMC and Alhaji Yusuf Usman — CMMRC State Chairman respectively, the group further urged community members to be law abiding and report any security threats to the appropriate authorities for prompt action.

” The Community Peace Action Network (CPAN), Conflict Management and Mitigation Regional Council (CMMRC), Forum with the Media on Peace Journalism (FMPJ) and Community Peace Observers (CPOs) on the CIPP Program, 

* wish to call on the relevant government institutions as a matter of urgency to ensure the protection of the lives and property of the citizens, most especially with the sudden events of attacks and insecurity in the State.

” This call is as a result of the recent attacks in some localities of the State namely: Giwa, Zaria, Kaura, Jema’a, Kachia, Kajuru, Chikun, and Birnin-Gwari among other localities that has led to injuries, loss of lives and properties destroyed. 

” We request on our community members to report any suspicious movement/behaviors or groups of persons that might pose a threat in our communities. 

” We are using this medium to plead with community members to cooperate with all the relevant government institutions that are tasked to safeguard the interest of the people. 

” We are also using this medium to appeal to community members to be law abiding, to channel their grievances to the relevant government institutions to avoid tension in communities and the State at large.

” We wish to show our deep appreciation regarding the efforts of our security agencies and other stakeholders in the protection of lives and properties in the State. We are equally calling on them to do more in this regards for the sustenance of peace and stability in the State.

” We believe that by working together we will be successful over those that have caused pains, trauma on the citizens of the State; 

” while praying that very soon, this will be a story of the past; but at the same time for the people to be up and doing in terms of early warning to all relevant institution so as to respond to their needs adequately. May Peace prevail in Kaduna” the statement added
