2023: Senator Zagi Emerges Kaduna ADC Guber Candidate

NEWSDAILYNIGERIA: Senator Caleb Zagi has emerged the Kaduna state governorship flagbearer of the African Democratic congress, ( ADC), come 2023 general elections.

Senator Caleb Zagi represented Southern Kaduna Senatorial district from 2007- 2011, at the National Assembly.

Zagi emerged the governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the 2023 general election in Kaduna State. after defeating Alhaji Abdulmumin Dauda Mustapha in the primary election in Kaduna.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Senator Zagi polled 185 votes to defeat Alhaji Abdulmumin Dauda Mustapha who polled 21 in the primary election held on Saturday in Kaduna state.

Announcing the results, Mr. Luti Kure, the Chairman of the Governorship Primary Committee for Kaduna State, declared Senator Zagi as the winner of the primaries having scored 185 votes.

Mr Kure said that the total votes cast in the election was 238 votes.

The chairman urged them to accept their result as a will of God noting that nobody was a winner or loser.

He further urged members of the party to work together to ensure its victory in the forthcoming general elections in the state.
