NEWSDAILYNIGERIA: St Charles Lwanga Parish, Ungwan Sunday, of the Catholic Archdiocese of Kaduna, has organized a befitting Send forth and welcome party for Rev. Fr. Anthony Okelue and Rev Fr. Paul Jibrin, the outgoing and incoming parish priests respectively.

The brief get- together held on Saturday attracted the members of the laity council, CMO, CWO, CYON, Zumuntan Mata among others

Speaking the outgoing Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Anthony Okelue, expressed gratitude to God for seeing him through these four years as the parish priest of St. Charles Lwanga

” Let us look beyond tribe and tongue and focus on Christ Jesus who has taught us to love everyone without favouritism.

“I wish you the new parish priest success in your assignment and pray that God bless parishioners of St. Charles Lwanga. ” he added

In the same vein, the New Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Paul Jibrin, expressed joy over the progress so far in the parish and said ‘ we shall consolidate on the good work and develop other areas where there is need. ‘

Similarly, the Laity Council Chairman Mr Gabriel Gani, welcomed the new priest and pledged support to him on behalf of the parishioners.

He thanked very immensely the outgoing priest noting that his stay was eventful and impactful.

On her part, Mrs. Ovuarume Gloria, said, she was very grateful for the great work Fr. Okelue did, noting that he was always available for the people. She prayed for success for him in his new place of assignment.

She welcomed the incoming priest and prayed for a graceful tenure for him.

The highpoint was when the outgoing parish priest, Rev Fr. Anthony Okelue was further escorted to the Catholic social center, his temporary abode, by priests, parishioners and well wishers and lots more.

Recall that the Catholic Archdiocese of Kaduna, announced transfers/ postings of priests at the last priestly ordination ceremony officiated by the Archbishop of Kaduna, Most Rev. Matthew Man– Oso Ndagoso, recently in Kaduna.
