2-Day Warning Strike: NLC Directs Unions On Total Shutdown

NEWSDALYNIGERIA: Ahead of the planned two day nationwide warning strike by the Nigeria Labour Congress,(NLC) slated for 5th and 6th September, 2023. NLC Kaduna has directed all affiliate unions to mobilize for a total shutdown of activities in the state.

A statement by the state Secretary, Comrade Gado Hussaini Titus, further announced that an emergency SEC meeting is expected to hold on Monday, to conclude arrangements.

” Sequel to the above directive, all Unions in the state are to commence preparation towards a total shutdown of activities as part of the 2 days warning strike action slated for 5th and 6th (Tuesday and Wednesday) of September, 2023.

” Similarly, there shall be an emergency SEC meeting slated for Monday – 4th September, 2023. @NLC Secretariat by 2pm prompt.

N.B.: The leadership of NURTW, your attendance is very much anticipated.

We look forward to having you all in attendance.” the statement added.
