NEWSDAILYNIGERIA: The National Secretary of Labour Party, Umar Farouk Ibrahim has described the death of Honourable Ekene Abubakar Adams, Member House of Representatives Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency as national loss to Nigeria and not just to Kaduna State.

Ibrahim said, though a first timer in the green chamber of the National Assembly, due to his sterling leadership qualities, deft political grasp and passion for sports, especially football which is a uniting factor for Nigerians, Ekene got the outstanding chairmanship of the Sport Committee.

The Labour Party Scribe, in a statement on Wednesday, said in his 39 years on earth, Honourable Ekene Abubakar Adams lived a life worthy of emulation in service to his constituency, Kaduna State and Nigeria at large.

“Ekene Adams’ passion for development and growth of the society in line with Labour Party’s ideology led to the massive support by the people of Kaduna that saw him defeated a multiple times member of the House of Representatives in the last elections

“The late Ekene established KADA City Football Club, local club based in Kaduna, for the discovery of talents and promote football in Kaduna State and beyond. 

” Ekene who once managed Remo Stars FC in Ogun State, would be remembered as one of the youngest football administrators in Nigeria” the statement added.

The LP scribe further extends his condolences to the immediate families of the deceased, his Chikun/Kajuru Federal constituents, Kaduna State, the National Assembly, the Labour Party family and the entire nations.

Ibrahim also called for prayers for them all, urging the electorates to remain steadfast and ensure that the sacrifices of people like Ekene is not in vain, honour his memories by keeping his passion and dreams alive.
