KSMC: Kaduna NUJ Lauds Farida’s Appointment As Executive Director Radio

NEWSDAILYNIGERIA: Nigeria Union Of Journalists (NUJ), Kaduna State Council has applauded the appointment of Hajiya Farida Abubakar as Executive Director Radio of Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC).

A statement signed by the Asst. Secretary, Ibrahim Adamu on behalf of leadership and entire members of the union, said the Chairman of NUJ, Kaduna State Council Comrade Asma’u Yawo Halilu eulogized the leadership qualities of Hajiya Abubakar and recalled with nostalgia her praiseworthy antecedents in newsroom, unionism and of course as an image maker to the wife of a former deputy Governor of Kaduna State.

Comrade Halilu, while commending Governor Uba Sani for appointing a female member of the 4th Estate of the Realm to head such a strategic unit of the state-owned media outfit, expressed optimism in the capability of Hajiya Farida to add value to her new place of assignment.

She further expressed optimism that the appointment would serve as a new dawn and open a new chapter in solidifying mutual relations between the two organizations.

“We at the Council, are particularly elated and excited about the good news of appointing one of our own as head of Radio unit of KSMC.

“The appointment further underscores the state Governor’s gender sensitive persona and zeal for professionalism, commitment and above all passion for hiring best hands to complement his efforts in implementing the SUSTAIN agenda.

“We also see the appointment as placing a square peg in a square hole by the Governor, having in mind excellent records of Hajiya Farida in all her past engagements, appraised with accolades by the public and key stakeholders.

“We seek Allah’s guidance for the new Executive Director Radio, her management and entire staff of KSMC,” Halilu prayed.
