Why I Defected To APC – Rep Amos Gwamna Magaji

…Says for the good of his people.

NEWSDAILYNIGERIA: Following the gale of defection in the main opposition party (PDP) in the southern Kaduna Senatorial Zone, Rt Hon Amos  Gwamna Magaji AGM, one of the new defectors to the APC, representing Zango Kataf/ Jaba Federal Constituency, has given reasons for his action.

Magaji said the need to be relevant at the centre, to attract the desired development and democratic dividends among others, is the rationale for leaving the PDP to join the APC.

The two term Lawmaker, also lauded the inclusive and amiable leadership of Kaduna state Governor, the CDS and Speaker of the Red Chamber , and the need for inclusion among others endeared his present decision to join the ruling party in the state.

AGM disclosed this during a media parley  at the weekend, with journalists under the aegis of Southern Kaduna Journalists Forum, ( SKJF) in Kaduna

 “Some of the advantages is that you are now with the party, the government in the centre for Kaduna state..”

” I am a member representing Zango/ Jaba but there are times, it’s a member of House of Assembly from the other party with the state that will bring some lists of things for these people.

“But right now, anything happening in the state, the government will give me a share. If they employ, I will get, if there is any intervention from federal or agriculture, I will get” he said.

He therefore, emphasized that his defection should not be viewed with negative mindsets, because it only presents him with better opportunities to sell the developmental needs of his constituency and zone three at large, to the ruling party.
As such, they should expect more positive changes through him.
