…Presents midterm scorecard

NEWSDAILYNIGERIA: The Honourable Member Representating Sanga Jema’a Federal constituency,  Daniel Amos, has said having the privilege to serve in any public office is an opportunity to give back to humanity.

Amos disclosed this on Wednesday  while presenting his midterm scorecard with the distribution of four Tricycles( Keke napep, two trucks of assorted fertilizers,  one hundred thousand naira cash each to 300 constituents, and three thousand bags of rice, to people across the communities and lots more.

The event held at Sanga Jema’a constituency office Kafanchan, saw supporters and party faithful in their numbers, from far and near.

Amos announced that the rice distribution was specifically targeted at women from both local government areas, acknowledging their vital role in sustaining families and communities, especially during difficult times.

Addressing attendees at the event, Hon. Daniel Amos described the initiative as part of his ongoing efforts to deliver the dividends of democracy to his constituents, particularly in light of the current economic challenges posed by inflation and food insecurity

The lawmaker said “about three thousand constituents will benefit from one hundred thousand naira each, which will cut across party excos both at the local government and the ward levels across party lines. 

During the media parley with Southern Kaduna Journalists’ Forum, ( SKJF) he said ” I work and support different groups, security agencies, religious leaders, women groups,  men groups, CDS, NUT and also the journalists, they have farms, all of these bodies will benefit from our second day program in Sanga Local government.” he assured.

According to him “it is my duty to report my activities to my constituents for the purpose of transparency, in my first year, my team and I were able to sunk about one hundred and fifty boreholes, which include solar boreholes, some are the mono boreholes, again in Jagindi my own political ward, we constructed a brand new Technical college, we rehabilitated the accommodation and classrooms in collage of nursing Kafanchan”.he stated.

He also told journalists that he’s the only House of Reps member with the highest number of  political aides amounting to two hundred. 

“I have the highest number of Aides about two hundred of them with the lowest of them collecting a monthly stipends of fifty thousand naira, this is a big support for them, I always spent over sixteen million naira monthly to pay my Aide as salaries”  he added

Speaking on his health sector annual interventions, inline with his passion of attending to people with health challenges

” We have treated people with different diseases and sicknesses, the one we did last year November 2024, we had about seven hundred different surgeries, on goiter, appendicitis, fibroids”. “attach to it, we also distributed reading glasses and we took it further last time with three hundred eye surgeries,  all of these went successfully which involved hundreds of millions”.he said.

In the area of security,  Hon Amos said he will continue to provide intervention to security agencies. 

“the security agencies in my constituency are the best security agencies across the state, we know

that providing support to them will make quality operations out of them, looking at the security challenges we faced in the previous years”

The rep member also said the initiative was part of his commitment to improving the lives of his people and delivering on his campaign promises as he called on his constituents to make diligent use of the empowerment to better their living standard. 

He said ” For me helping people is natural, so occupying public office is an opportunity to give back to the, people and it makes it easier in this case , as we have been able to offer some interventions,  in health, primary, secondary and even tertiary institutions” he reiterated

The Lawmaker further appreciated the Executive Governor of Kaduna state for his unwavering support to southern Kaduna. 

“My sincere appreciation goes to the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani for his unwavering support to the actualization of Federal University of Applied Science Kachia and also the upgrade of General Hospital Kafanchan to Federal Medical Center.”  he stressed.
