Gunmen Kidnap Catholic Priest, Others In Kaduna

NEWSDAILYNIGERIA: Gunmen have reportedly kidnap a Priest of the Catholic Archdiocese of Kaduna, Rev. Fr. Bobbo Paschal in Kaduna state, Nigeria.

Fr Paschal, the Parish Priest of St. Stephen Parish, Kushe Gugdu in Kagarko Local Government Area of the State was abducted on Monday morning.

A brother to one Rev. Fr. Anthony Yero was also reportedly killed during the attack, while many others were abducted by their abductors

The sad incident occurred in the early hours of Monday 17th November 2025, at the residence of the priest, according to statement signed by Chancellor Archdiocese of Kaduna, Nigeria, Rev. Fr. Christian Okewu Emmanuel, and addressed to all Priests, religious and Laity of Archdiocese of Kaduna.

The statement made available to newsmen reads: “Dear brothers and sisters, “abduction of Rev. Fr. Bobbo Paschal”.

“I write to inform you of the attack on Kushe Gugdu and the a one of our priests, Rev. Fr. Bobbo Paschal, Parish Priest of St Parish, Kushe Gugdu, in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State from his residence during the early hours of today, Monday. November, 2025.

“During the attack, many others were abducted, and the brother of Rev. Fr. Anthony Yero was killed”, it stated.

The Archdiocese called on all men and women of goodwill to join them ” in praying for their safety and quick release from the hands of their abductors, and for the peaceful repose of the dead.” the statement added.

This sad development is coming at the heels of global outcry for alleged Christian persecution and genocide in Nigeria.

When contacted, the spokesman of kaduna state police command DSP Mansir Hassan could not respond before Press time.
