Kaduna Concerned Citizens Protest Killing Of Police, Attacks On Stations

NEWDAILYNIGERIA– A group known as Kaduna concerned citizens has staged a peaceful protest against the killing of police officers and burning-down of stations in the southern part of the country.

The group further noted that the result of the continuous gun-men attacks and burning down of police stations in parts of the southern part of the country has cost the lives of many police officers in the region.

The concerned Nigerian citizens also embarked on the peaceful protest in kaduna state north western Nigeria with the aims of raising more voices to the federal government towards bringing to an end the killings and destruction of police stations.

Alhaji yahaya Ibrahim,who is an elderly person in kaduna state says, they started the peaceful protest against the killing of Nigerian security forces in the southern part of the country while calling for calm for peace stability in the country at large

The incessant attacks of police stations and burnings down of some of the stations by the notorious activities of gun-men in that region is a total set back by efforts of states and federal government including network of peace NGO/CSO toward peace building and finding solotion to ever-lasting peace in the country

He said, he started the protest as one man protest against the killing of innocent Nigerian police men and women , and then later many religious scholars begins joined him in the campaign

The theme of the Campaign; “stop the killing of Nigerian police and embraced Dialoque”

The essence of the Campaign is to draw the attention of federal government to as a matter of emergency brings an end to the risen insecurity challenges which include killing of Nigerian police and bombing their station

“we are against the killing and Bombing of police station in the country”
“Many police wives lost their husbands that are now widows as a result of the attack”
“we need peace and harmony in the country”\

Similarly pastor yohanna buru, the national president of peace revival and recounciliation foundation of Nigeria added that they joined the Campaigh in order to called all the 36 states governors, and federal republic of Nigeria that there is need to end killing of those security men and women

According to him ,we are against killing of innocent Nigerian security men across the country and that is why they joined the Campaign/
Buru said, they are calling on other concerned citizens across the country to joined the Campaigh at home,places of worship or temple which is geared toward tackling continuous killing of Nigerian security men and women while carring out their duties

He then appealed to federal Government of Nigeria to reconciled with all armed men in the country,so as to bring an end to the countious bandit,kidnapping and other forms of insecurity challenges bedeviling peace stability in the couutry

They vowed to take the campaigh to various places,ministries and other government agencies which is targeted at rising more voices toward saving police and military lives across the country

He equally called on muslims and chrisrians clerics to pray hard to the success of all Nigerian police and military sucesss
