Breaking: Asma’u Sworn In Kaduna NUJ Chairman, Pledges To Uphold Professionalism

NEWSDAILYNIGERIA– Hajia Asmau Yawo Halilu of the Correspondents chapel Kaduna has emerged the duly elected chairman of the Kaduna State Council of the Nigeria union of Journalists,( NUJ)

Officiating the inauguration, the Zonal Secretary NUJ Zone A and Mohammed Tukur, Zonal VP, Zone A, delegation from the National body, said the new chairman was returned elected unopposed with some other executive members

In her inaugural address the new NUJ Chairman, Hajia Asma’u Yawo Halilu, thanked God and fellow comrades for trusting and believing in her, adding that she will run an all inclusive leadership that will also uphold professionalism.

According to her, she will ” work towards reuniting our divided council, by setting up a reconciliatory committee that will work at uniting us all”

She further said the council under her, will priortise the welfare of members, and provide capacity building opportunities for all members and ensure resumption of all active sporting activities among other things
