If Elected Governor, I’ ll Answer My Name As Chief Security Officer-  Shehu Sani

NEWSDAILYNIGERIA: Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) Gubernatorial hopefuI, Senator Shehu Sani, said, he will answer his name as chief Security officer of the state, if elected governor of Kaduna state

Sani, who represented Kaduna central senatorial district in the last Assembly, while rolling out his agenda to move the state on the path of peace, unity and progress, said he will deal with insecurity head-on by appointing the right people in the right position.

He said unity, insecurity,  job creation, infrastructure, Sports, Agriculture, Education among others form his agenda to reposition the state with all sense of transparency.

He disclosed this on tuesday during a media parley with Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ) Kaduna State Council.

” On my own part, it is not a thing of do or die affair. I came because Kaduna State have been badly governed by the APC government.

” So I am here to intimate you on my agenda, if i emerged victorious in the PDP primary and eventually become the Governor of Kaduna State.

 He said ” My number one agenda is about the unity of the people of Kaduna state,  equity, Justice and fairness. I will unify both the southern and the northern people of Kaduna State 

” My second agenda is about the security of Kaduna state. Insecurity is prevailing everywhere in the state. In Nigeria, Kaduna is the most insecured state despite the number of security fomations situated in the state. 

” Bandits decide who will survive and who will die, if we are given the chance to rule the state we will equip our security personnel with modern and sophisticated equipment to face the bandits in their dens, ” he added

According to him, ” if elected as the executive governor of Kaduna State, I will answer my name as the Chief Security Officer of the state. I’ m not the type of Governor that will say the security of the state is under the Federal Government. Security will be in the hands of experts, adding ” I will train volunteers to secure their ancestral land” 

On job creation, he said his government will revive the Moribund industries”  to reactivate our industries and provide the necessary support they need to create job opportunities to our youths,”

Adding that, he will ensure that infrastructural development is felt across the 23 Local Government areas including the rural areas, not only the urban areas.

He lamented how sports has degenerated in state especially footbal  “today, non of the football teams in Kaduna is in the Premier League, nor in the second division. Ranchers F.C, Leadway and other Kaduna teams were the best in those days,  but today, reverse is the case. I will bring back sporting activities as a unting force to bind ourselves together,” he assured

According to him, agriculture cannot be sustainable without addressing insecurity ” without tackling the insecurity you can not talk about farming because people pay taxes to bandits before they could harvest the crops, they farm in most of the remote areas” 

He then appealed to the PDP ” so I am calling on the delegates and the executives to unite as a party to take over Kaduna from the ruling APC, adding ”  I will discontinue what El- rufa’i is doing,  I will emulate him in only one aspect that is the Local Government Area election,  because tt’s commendable in that area,” he  added

” I will live up to my words, if elected. I am not a Governor that would promise free education and increase school fees, retrench workers without paying them, adding that he’ Il lead Kaduna State with transparency,” he reiterated
