Arsenal are ready for action again today Wednesday 25th August, 2012 as they travel to the Hawthornes to face Championship side West Bromwich Albion in the second round of the EFL cup (Carabao cup) with so much to play for.

You may recall that because of Arsenal’s involvements in European Competition, they usually join the cup competition in the third round. But this time around, they finished last EPL season in 8th position, which placed them outside any European Competitions.

While the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea FC, West Ham United and the rest, will join the competition in the third round.

Ordinarily, the Gunners are the favourite to win this tie, but with their back to back defeats to Brentford and Chelsea FC, it might not likely to be the regular party time for them.

An away victory could provide the Gunners with much confidence boost for a team like them struggling to find any sort of rhythm this season.
