NEWSDAILYNIGERIA– The former Real Madrid talisman, Cristiano Ronaldo, 36, yesterday agreed on personal terms to rejoin his former club Manchester United of England, which he left twelve years ago,

This is coming shortly after Sir Alex Ferguson gave him a phone call; on what was almost a done deal for him to join United’s close rivals, Manchester City.

The Sun UK confirms that the player took the decision to snubbed United’s cross-town rivals Manchester City, to rejoin his former club in a £480,000 a-week deal after former United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, had an emotional conversation with the player via a phone.

Earlier, his Portuguese team mate Bruno Fernandes also tried to call to see reasons why he should join him back at Old Trafford.

The combination of the two convinced him to end negotiations with Etihad chiefs as united played a dramatic late hand to trump City.

United legend Rio Ferdinand confirmed: ” There was no way Cristiano Ronaldo would be coming to Man United without speaking to sir Alex Ferguson. Simple as that.”

United’s talisman man Fernandes added: “Agent Bruno? Welcome back home @Cristiano.

The superstar will put pen to paper on a two-year deal worth £480,000 per week, or £25million a year.
