NEWSDAILYNIGERIA– The Nollywood community was on Friday morning thrown into mourning, as one of its Veterans, Victor Olaotan, 69, passed away on Thursday 26th August, 2021.

The deceased was said to have died as a result of a brain injury he sustained during a car accident he had in October 2016.

His widow, Julia Olaotan broke the news of his death on Friday morning to Premium Times

Mrs. Olaotan however gave thanks to God that the actor can finally go to rest after suffering for years.

“He has tried. It is not easy to be trapped in your own body for five years. He can finally rest now,” she said.

The accident forced the actor to be bedridden for five years. Some friends and colleagues at some point solicited for supports to get the actor back to his feet, but to no avail.

Born 17th February, 1952, in Lagos State, Nigeria. The late actor began his acting career when he joined University of Ibadan theatre group where he met other actors such as Professor Wole Soyinka and Jimi Solanke.

His filmography include: Tinsel (TV series) Fred Ade-Williams (2008-2013), Three Wise Men, Lovestruck among others
