Speaking to journalists during the event on what informed such philanthropic gesture, the Founder/CEO of the Foundation Chief (Dr). Chetachi Ecton Dikko said, she was moved to carryout such act, as a result of her love for humanity, and her quest to make health a priority for the less privileged in the society.

“You know I’ve been doing medical missions for a very long time, but I never stopped giving back, so there is nothing that informed this, it’s just from the bottom of my heart, this is what I love to do, this is what makes me happy.”

“I have a lot of things, I’m bringing to the table, when you talk about agriculture, education, empowerment to the youths and so on, but this medical mission means a lot to me because there are a lot of families, a lot of women, a lot of children that lack medical care; so if I can be able to give them examinations like this, they see the doctors and are able to leave here with medications, that gladdens my heart. ” She added.

According to her ” The best part of it is that, this year, we have baby formulas, so we can give pregnant women and infants some”.

Speaking further, on the need for people to always go for constant check-ups, saying “they have to, because you see High Blood Pressure and diabetes, they’re number one killers right here, so you need to check yourself out, you need to go to the hospital

” You need to come to Kay Medicare Hospital here, you need to come and check your blood pressure, then we’ II tell you what to do, and how to do it, health is life and health is wealth, if you do not have life, what do you have? Nothing!”, she added.

Similarly, the team leader of Kay Medicare Hospital, Pharmacist Ikechukwu Obassey observed that the emotional trauma being experienced by so many individuals in the country, further triggered the need to embark on such mission.

“Everything being done today is at a zero cost for the patient, where the patient will smile home happily, without being disturbed by the things that are happening in our dear country,

“So, our dear leader over here, Dr. Chetachi Ecton, a woman of wonders have deemed it necessary to put smile in all the faces of Nigerians, irrespective of tribe, irrespective of state, wherever you come from, whether Igbo, Hausa or Yoruba, she believes in humanity first, before any other thing, and that’s why we are here today”, he further said.

On the other side, one of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Abigail Bulus, impressed by the services rendered to her, said ” I’m surprised when I arrived here, the way they gave me full attention, they did a general medical checkup, including my eyes, at the end, I was given a medicated glass and some drugs that could have cost me so much, if I had gone to a pharmacy store to buy them.

“This will make me not to ever forget this organization, so, I am saying thank you to the CEO and her team, and I’m calling on other similar organizations to copy from what ‘ When In Need Foundation’ (WIN) is doing” she stated.

“At first, I doubted if the invitation would be positive up to this extent, until when the person that invited me, call again this morning to remind me. I must say that I’m the most happiest person amongst all the beneficiaries, because this actually came at a time, I’m deeply in need of medical care; for this reasons, I can’t thank WIN enough, because they have given me hope,” she stressed.

In the same vein, another beneficiary, Inspector Ejeh, said this outreach really touched his life, as he was given a full medical attention. ” I want to thank the ‘When In Need Foundation,’ God will bless them, I pray that they will go a long way,” he added.
